Description
Claude Dulude was born in 1931 in Montréal, Québec. He studied at the École des Beaux-Arts de Montréal, the Louvre in Paris and the printmaking studio in Paris J. Friedlander. He was a professor of Fine Arts for many years at CEGEP du Vieux-Montréal aa well as Director of the arts. He retired from teaching in 1993. Dulude’s love of nature and music inspired his work. He explored several techniques such throughout his career such as etching, pastel, sculpture, and acrylic on canvas and paper. Dulude has received several awards from, among others, the Canada Council for the Arts in 1960-61, the Ministry of Cultural Affairs of Québec in 1975, and the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Québec in 1985. He is a member of The Royal Canadian Academy of Arts. He died in 1999.
